OUR MISSION
To bring out the lovable and fun side of science for kids.
OUR IDEA
We take something complicated and make it fun and memorable.
Animoles are plush, kid-friendly molecule toys in shapes reminiscent of balloon animals. The first in the collectible series of Animoles is a puppy propane molecule in bright, customizable colors. Animoles plushies come with information about their chemical structure on their tag and are supported by an app that includes chemistry facts and lets children design their own Animoles. The goal of Animoles is to inspire kids from an early age with warm and fuzzy feelings for organic chemistry, reducing the fear of STEM education and promoting a future interest in science!

OUR STORY
Animoles first came to life when the daughters of scientist and founder Dr. Xavier Ambroggio were playing with his chemistry modeling set and made “little doggies”, aka propane. Dr. Ambroggio immediately realized chemical formals that look like animal shapes could be a great way to promote familiarity with chemistry to young kids. Many STEM strategies for introducing kids to chemistry are less accessible for younger kids, often involving a mess in the kitchen or modeling kits that could be choking hazards. Dr. Ambroggio realized he could fill a niche for younger kids by making the Animoles big, bright, and plushy. He enlisted the help of Industrial Designer Michelle Gailhac to prototype the first Animoles: pruppies. By adding a supporting app, the Animoles became a way to introduce children to molecular engineering.
OUR FUTURE
We plan to run a Kickstarter campaign in Fall of 2019 to bring Animoles to a kid near you! Leading up to that campaign, we will be hosting fun, family-friendly events around Vermont to help spread the word. If you are interested in learning about our events or in hosting an event, please get in touch. If you’re as excited about Animoles as we are, check back here for links to our upcoming Kickstarter page.
You can email rachel@animoles.com for more information or to subscribe to our event announcements!
